River's Edge Cottage is a single storey barn conversion set in a leafy glade in an idyllic peaceful setting on the banks of the river Derwent in Shotley Bridge, a charming old spa town, once home of the German Sword Makers and the paper making capital of the North.
The Cottage is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Derwent Valley, on the site of the old paper mill, and is ideally suited for fishing, walking and cycling holidays.
As the name suggests, the cottage is situated right next to the River Derwent and fishing permits are available in season. Derwentside provides an excellent network of traffic free routes for cyclists, walkers and horse riders plus a wide range of other outdoor and indoor activities for adults and children.
