  A full set of rules is supplied with each membership, the basic rules are as follows -  
  • The period for which it is legal to fish for Trout is from 22nd. March to 30th. September inclusive.
  • Only ONE ROD to be used at any one time.
  • NO SPINNING AT ANY TIME
  • A spinning reel may NOT BE USED at ANY TIME or for ANY PURPOSE
  • Ground baiting and maggot fishing strictly prohibited.
  • Hours of fishing are 6a.m. to one hour after sunset.
  • All fish measuring less than eight inches from nose to cleft of tail must be returned to the water immediately
  • Members must ADHERE to the Northumbrian River Authority Byelaws.
  • GRAYLING Fishing from 16th. June to 30th. September. Extended until 31st. December from Derwent Reservoir road bridge to Shotley Bridge with FLY ONLY.
  • GRAYLING FISHING ON DAA LAND ONLY. From 1st. January until 31st. January from Shotley Bridge weir upstream to DAA boundary fence. FLY ONLY, barbless hooks - all fish to be returned.
